After years of wanting to go but not being able to make it, for one reason or another, this year we finally made it to Pause Fest – an annual Creative, Tech & Business event held at Fed Square. (Well, we made it to day one.) One of our highlights was former Magic Leap senior director of user experience, Alysha Naples, urging innovators and developers to pause and seriously consider why and what they do … and how their work might impact the world long into the future (in a presentation called Beyond the Screen). Another was a Lunch & Learn session with Lego Serious Play Expert, Micheal Fearne. We already knew that Lego has some pretty interesting uses beyond recreation … but it was great to see him tapping into the collective subconscious to foster some funky thinking.
